Come on guys tell everyone you know on the board that there is a vote on the table for our club name. The presidential election is over...YEA...and now we can get on with an important vote..ha ha. Seriously the sooner we can get this finalized the sooner we can move forward with the stickers and cards to hand out at events and such. I would love to be able to hand out cards at the Ford swap this month.
Kyle do we have an end date for this vote?

I set the end date for 15 days from the start of the poll. That would be Nov 18 as the ending day.

Never having lived in Dayton, I'm not really sure where "Gem city" comes from, but "Dayton Stangs" seems pretty recognizable to outsiders quickly. That's my vote.
Thanks,

I only heard of "Gem City" because of Gem city records and the numerous other stores around here named Gem city whatever.
Isn't there a place on main street called "Jim City Ribs" lol... thats funny.

Back in the early 1800s, a Newspaper guy came upriver from Cincinnati. When he saw Dayton he said it was a "gem". Name stuck.

Looks as if its neck and neck. And down the stretch they come.

My problem with Gem City is that few people even know what it means. I have always heard the term since I can remember, but the younger guys seem to not recognize the term for some reason. Just a thought...

I voted for Gem City Stangs, but now I am having second thoughts too. I think it sounds really good, but half the people won't know where the heck it is.....
