6th Annual Stangbangerz Cruise

If you're new here, this is one of the best cruises we do as a club. Other's have gone and know the drill.

Dayton North will meet at Steak & Shake on Miller Lane in Vandalia at 10:30.

We'll leave there around 10:45 to cruise to meet

Dayton South at the Elder Berman's parking lot at the Dayton Mall at 11:00.

Hopefully be on the road 40+ strong again by 11:30.

There was some discussion after last year's ride down about departing in smaller groups to avoid causing traffic problems and other issues we have encountered in the past. Where do we stand on that? If everyone plans to travel in one large pack I will likely just meet everyone there. There was just to much craziness for me last fall.

The large group is fine. What we don't want is racing and wreckless driving.

Staying together is what makes it a sight to see. If we can establish that nobody there is trying to race, it provides much better photo/video opportunities.

Agreed. Not that I didn't have a few highway pulls last cruise in, I think if everyone keeps a semi-level head, all will be well. It's definitely a lot cooler with a big pack of stangs rolling together.

im down for going down as a group as long as i dont have to chase down a KB mach 1 again :crazy:. i will try and get better video and pictures this year hopefully candice learned how to use the new camera. ill be at the mall since its only 10 mins from the house.

I know you had the poll already set but I have a late suggestion. In the past keeping fourty cars in line leaving the mall is hard enough, why not have everyone meet at the next rest area down from the dayton mall. That way we just line up and leave at a set time with no traffic lights. Its also supposed to be a cruise guys...in the old days that meant cruising at the lower side of the speed limit or at least at the limit and enjoy the drive. Not 100mph blasts down the highway. Take up the slow lane and cruise down at 60-65mph...eezy peezy.

I will be at the back of the line, meeting at the rest area. There were some harsh things said last year by some negative people and I won't be a party to that crap this year. I will be doing 55 and driving very sanely just as last year. Anyone that wants to keep it cool I am with them. The stupid blasts and wanting to cruise at 70, just count me out.

If we get caught at lights getting on the highway, we can hit the shoulder. I think the key here will be for the lead man and the rear need to be in contact with each other so that we know when everyone is on the highway.

Had a great time at the cruise. Just disappointed it took so long to get our food, by the time we were finished, it was time to go! Great driving down with everyone. Some really nice looking cars.
