Well I am picking up my new SRT4 ACR tomorrow eveing. So I am selling my current Neon. This car is a white 4 door speed car equipped with ACR (American Club Racer) package. That gets you a slightly lower stance different struts, 4 wheel disc brakes, and a few other goodies to beef it up for racing. The car was originally purchased by my father-in-law to race. However he's not much of a machanic so its racing career was very very brief. I think it only saw a race track maybe 4 or 5 times. Since then its been a grocery getter. I have been driving it back and forth to work off and on for the last two years. It has about 53,000 miles on it. In the last 6 months I have installed new pads and rotors at all 4 wheel, new timing belt, accesory belts, water pump, and hoses. The car is not perfect. There are two small spots of rust on it...one on the drivers side fender and the other is at the leading edge of the roof above the rearview mirror. The paint is also flaking a bit on the trunk which seems to be common to Neons. Both spots are tiny and hardly noticalbe. It does have a bolt in roll cage which can be removed or left in. The tires on it are in good shape and the car has been pretty well maintained. The engine has seen nothing but mobil 1 synthetic oil since new. Now the best part is that I average 37mpg driving back and forth to work. I will try to get a picture or two up soon. I am asking $2500.

Pics? What are the seats like? Do they have any type of lumbar support? I assume this is a manual transmission car? What type of creature comforts does it have? AC? Cruise? CD player? I'm looking for a commuter car for my dad. He's older, so it'd need to be a fairly comfy car. But maybe.

Caged Neon! That is perfect for my daughter... too bad, she won't be driving for a year and a half to two years. I've got plenty of time to look. I'm thinking Town Car. :LOL!:

It is a stick. It is equpped with the sbasic stock Neon seats....nothing special. It has no A/C and did not origianlly come with a radio though I have since put in speakers and a CD player. It owuld be fairly comfortable butthe cage would have to come out.

Did you get the SRT-4? Is the ACR still for sale?

Yes and yes. I have to be pretty firm on the price though since I just put a $550 in to it for some more repairs. I had all the shift linkage and bushing replaced.

If my cobra sells, we might be making a deal. I did the math today, and I could save 10 dollars per DAY, in a car that gets 25 mpg.

What other repairs would you say it needs?

Other than a radio it doesn't really need anything to drive it. it does leak a little bit of oil but I have been told almost every 1st gen neon does. There is a little bit of rust that I mentioned but its not even visible unless you are close to it. If I think of anything else I will post it.
