I've been thinking about this a lot lately and I want to add the scoop to my '00 GT. The standard hood is just too sedate looking so I thought that if I could find one on the cheap I might pick it up. Of course the Columbus swap is just around the corner and maybe I should just wait. A black one would be a good thing! (no painting!).

That's what I would do. That swap is cool, think the scoop is too.
