Tuned by Dayton Performance Motorsports, has gasoline tune (550hp) and E85 tune(600 hp) and E70 tune for occasional winter driving on A9L computer. Car runs and drives exceptionally well. I have taken it on nice weekends for long cruises around the tri state. Not much trunk room, lol, for clothes and such, so only short trips.
As you may have guessed, I own a speed shop and this was the car that got it all started back in 93, I bought the car in 92 when it was 4 years old off of the lady next door to me. Car was originally an auto, and I did a complete swap to manual, can’t tell unless I told you. I am sure I have left out a lot, but you get the picture. I built this car to be a fun cruiser, and well, it kind of got away from me, lol. My lady loves it and we have had some really good times driving around in it, but I feel it would be better in someone elses care.
I also want to offer the option to the lucky buyer to have a Dart SHP block installed with all the current components including new rings, bearings and gaskets for extra money.

I am asking 16,500 as she sits, and 18,500 with the SHP block installed and tuned. I would then be able to spin it up to 6k or so, which would make more boost and you guessed it, more power. I am also open to partial trades or more than one car traded in. I know this is a lot of money, so I want to make it easier for the motivated buyer to into the driver’s seat. The sale comes with future parts discounts and dyno time if the original stickers on the car advertising my business are left on it.

Thanks guys. If she could drive it, I would be more inclined to keep it. But that's another reason I am selling, I want to buy her a yellow 96-98 GT vert with an auto, and we are gonna make it suhweet for her to play with. When we go to the local track, this will give her something to do too as well as cruise ins and car shows too.

That's right Mike....get the bug to bite her too! Donna will have a good time with that setup...seems to me anyway!

Ah yes, I need to schedule my day of welding while I am home, lol. I want to drive it and see how it feels with everything tied together. Need to see if James wants his done at the same time, his matrix bars. Good suggestion man!

Don't do it james...you don't need that crap...

Yeah Luke that's what I've been debating on for a minute now..it's cool for tightening up the suspension, jacking points and so forth but now I'm on the weight reduction plan and anything that doesn't make the car quicker and faster is dead weight at my lowly power level.......maybe when I make some "real power" I'll do it.

Peace

James,

I am going to do the matrix brace......when $ allows. I am starting from the ground up...I want to end up like Adam (sorry Adam, not making fun of you, just don't want to break). :biggrinangelA:

Hey James.....................

Just for you man I will e-mail the people at Kenny Brown.....and find out how much weight you and I are talking about adding dude!

Clean91LX
12-09-2009, 09:31 PM
Kenny Brown told me via e-mail that their:

Subframes.......17 lbs
jacking railes....11 lbs
matrix.............12 lbs

They keep telling me that people can't believe the difference it makes.....:bullwinkle:

That's cool Sean, yeah I knew it added weight but it's chassis rigidity where it shines. If you already have subframes adding the jacking rails and maxtrix brace will stiffen it big time!, I remember when Ken Dome was around, Mike had his car on jack stands....he took one out......and it was still perfectly level on 3 jack stands!!

Mike still has plenty of material to make the jacking rails and matrix brace as he initially did on his renegade car, it'll be cheaper (than Kenny Brown) but probably weigh more. Don't forget the spool, axles, rear end cover, driveshaft loop etc...that's all part of fortifying the car from the ground up. I'm getting there one piece at a time, after all it's taken me 12 years to get this far!

Peace

James,
That material has your name on it and it's not going anywhere, lol. I have enough to do my vert extra, and the rest is yours still. I can always buy more, just forget now where I used to get it, been a long time.

That's cool Mike I forgot where you got the material too, at least I know it's in a safe place! but yeah after the vert is all welded up it'll be kind of sad to see it ride off into the sunset....I mean you've had it since it was running 15.9xx's it's a part of you now. Why that car is basically a rolling billboard for DP...........are you still going to sell it??!!

Peace

Yes, I am still going to sell it:mad: , and yes, I am sad to see it go as well. It was a fanatastic rolling advert for Dayton 5.0, but now we are moving on to bigger, greener fields, and I think a different vehicle would be a better banner for the shop. I want something newer and modular to show we know the mod squad as well as the pushrod stuff. Chad made that observation a couple years ago saying about 70% of our business is modular, but we dont' have anything about it in our website or in our race program.
So, after much thought, I decided that selling off the vert, the renegade car and some others, using those resources to build something bad ass and modular. I have also thought about a modular factory stock entry, and a real street 3V entry. But nothing can happen until the economy improves, business improves, and these cars sell. I have too may vehicles. The vert is no longer a 'project' but the renegade car and Barney car are. Once they are finished, and move on to new owners, then we'll sit down and come up with the next shop car project. cool?

Well, if you have extra.....I'll let you put it in. I had totally forgot that you said you could put the jacking rails on years ago, and we could "make" the matrix brace ourselves....Try and remember the place where you got the metal.:cobra:

BUT don't wait on me cause you need to take care of James' car and the Vert first man!

Thanks dude! I am not sure where I got that steel from, but I am sure a quick look through the yellow pages will refresh my memory. I'll get you, probably not this leave, but in the Springtime, I will have some more shop time before the wedding, as Donna will have things she needs to do and I will probaby be in the way on some of them, lol.

Car is now for sale in parts. I have each part that I could think of listed with a price, or if it's a group of parts, it has a group price meaning it's not for sale seperately.
